Utah’s Hogle Zoo is one Salt Lake’s must see attractions. Hogle Zoo is open year round with 42 acres to cover, and over 800 animals to see! There are many things to see and do while at the zoo. Daily programs such as Elephant Encounter, Wildlife Theatre Bird Show, and Discovery Theatre. Also, attractions such as the Zoo Train and Conservation Carousel that children love! The Hogle Zoo also hosts great events such as Zoo Lights and Boo At the Zoo. For the families of the University Student housing, Hogle Zoo is the perfect summer activity to show the kids an incredible adventure.
Cost: Summer Season (May 1 – September 30) Adults $12.75 and Children (3 to 12): $9.75. Winter Season (October 1 – April 30) Adults $9.75 and Children (3 to 12): $7.75. Children 2 and younger are always free. Zoo Recommendation: The Zoo membership is an excellent deal, especially for University Student Apartment residents. The membership I recommend is the basic. For only $87.00 you receive unlimited year round access for 2 adults and all dependents under 18. It pays for itself in just a few visits. What a great summer activity to do with the family! Parking: Parking can be difficult at Hogle Zoo, but it is the perfect location for the residents of University Student Apartments. It is literally just around the corner! Nice walk with the family to experience the zoo. |
The Conservation Carousel. One of Hogle Zoo's favorite attractions. Very unique featuring 42-hand carved animals to ride.
